Do not, I repeat do not go here on Sunday. The line goes all the way to the back. Two cashiers aren't enough and all the workers are running back and forth trying to get everyone's orders out. Everyone and their mom is either having lunch or breakfast there lmao. If you go during the week then it's fine. Don't ever buy the bagged bread because I once picked up a bag with mold on it already, bread must have been a week old. Other than these minor inconveniences the bread is better than El Bajio which is also by main street. The bread is also better than Rancho San Miguels' miniature wanna be pan. Cardena's also has their tiny bread that is not up to par with Panaderia Guadalajara. The only reason for the huge lines here is because the bread is good. However, if you are like me and do not like to wait then it is not worth it when you can settle for other bread, after all do you really need bread that bad to be waiting for like 15 minutes in line...lol. I'm giving 5 star only because I still go there to get bread a lot and no one can beat this bread.

I visited this place a few days ago to try out their rolled tacos. I was thinking of trying out their tamales but it seemed like they simply reheat it so I chose to skip them. Nevertheless, the rolled tacos of chicken were okay they definitely did not live up to my expectations or perhaps I had over the top expectations because it's a Mexican Bakery. The tacos seemed slightly too bland in flavor and required some salt or seasoning. The price is alright but I wish it was much better as I am from LA and visiting Merced makes it difficult to find a good place to have good Mexican or Chinese food.

However, if you are really in the need of having something Mexican like tamales, tacos or rolled tacos then it is worth the try. Just do not expect anything outstanding.

The burrito was a pretty good size and had a bunch of meat. The place overall was pretty cool since it had a bit of everything. If your trying to go to a place that reminds you of east LA perfect spot. I loved it!

Food is great, bread it okay. Place looks old and dirty, but plenty of goods! Reliable place to get some tacos, tortas, or menudo!

This Chile Verde the sauce is good but meat very dry wrong type of meatfor this dish, Butt cut is the best for this plate but guy with beard wont listen to me about this then he'd really make customers really happy wanting to come back.
